Highlights

The software TopVolley, allows you to code and record information with every action played during a volleyball rally as well as for your team and for the opposite team.

Part of the recording is performed during the rally using the keyboard in a blind way, the other part just with the mouse or the keyboard when the point is scored.

Actions recorded are: Service – Reception – Attack – Block – Defence – Unforced Error.

For each of actions, different parameters can be defined : Player’s name – Type of action - Quality – Position – Origin – Direction, not all the parameters are present for each action.

According the particular aspects you want to analyse, the actions and parameters are chosen before the match starts, more details opponents, more details on attacks . . . .

Most important, connecting a camera, a video file is simultaneously recorded on the hard disk.

Thus a direct link exists between the video file and the coded data, there are no needs of additional synchronisation, all the scouting is immediately ready after the match.

A powerful search engine selects videos sequences according to specific criteria’s based on coded data for both teams.

Numerous statistics reports track and analyse performance for both Teams and Players.

The system has been developed in close collaboration with two well renowned Belgian coaches : E. Rousseau et D. Blairon.

· Both Teams can be scouted

· A camera can be connected to the PC, the start/stop of the camera is driven by the PC, only the rallies are recorded

· Al the data and videos are immediately available after the match for viewing without any additional work.

· A search engine allows a selection of the most appropriate video sequences in order to analyse Teams and Players performances

· The high quality of recording on disk (no compression) allows perfect slowdowns

· Multiple statistics reports representing more than 100 pages analyse Teams and Players performances for one match or a selection of match’s

· Historical reports analyse trends and evolutions of Teams and Players performances.

· Every Player of your team or opponent Teams can be characterized by their skils, quality and defaults and can be kept from one year to another.

· Real-time statistics expressing your team performance by position and by Players as well as the setters distribution according their position are visualized on the screen, they can be printed during the match to help the head coach

· During and after the match, all recorder points with a “Doubt” (incorrectly or incompletely coded) can be reselected, viewed with Video and corrected or completed.

· A match can be scouted exactly as in live, with a match on a videotape and a camera connected to the PC or using an avi files, so the scouting can done by the Head coach at home

· Match’s from another Topvolley and provided by a colleagues coach can be imported in your TopVolley and in the same way, match’s can be exported.

· Video sequences can be written on DVD or external drive.

· Statistics requested by the Belgium Volley-ball Liga are exported automatically for both Teams in a XLS file format.

Configuration

· Caméra must have a « 4 pin IEEE1394 Firewire connexion », take care, all new caméras don’t have this feature.

· All recent PC on the market are correct, but a high disk capacity : 80 GB of disk space is a minimum.

· If you have a lap top, you need a numeric pad

· A 4 pin (or better six pin) IEEE1394 Firewire connection on the PC with the adequate cable to connect the camera

· An optional external Disk Drive (200 GB) to store a larger number of Video Files

· Windows XP or Vista and Access 2000 or 2002 or 2003

· An Internet connection is a plus for maintenance.

· Microsoft Office Excel to export Belgium VB Liga statistics

The Leasing contract

The program is leased for a period of 12 or 6 renewed months.

It is leased for a specific PC but all statistics and videos can be viewed on others PCs.

Trial period

A free trial period of one month is offered.

All scouted match during this period are kept if the program is definitively leased.
